Three seriously injured in collision on the N2 north bound near to the Booth road bridge

Three people have been left in a serious condition after two light motor vehicles collided on the N2 north bound near to the Booth road bridge this morning.

ER24 Durban paramedics arrived on scene to find the two badly wrecked vehicles with both drivers and passengers still inside.
Three people were treated for various injuries and placed on specialised stretchers for suspected neck and spinal trauma before being transported by ambulance to a near by hospital for further care.  The fourth person luckily escaped un injured.

Traffic was severly backed up as the fast lane was closed off while paramedics worked to free the injured. Metro police were on scene to assist.

The exact cause of the accident and the events leading to it are un known and the necessary authorities are investigating further.
