One dead, another critical after being hit by train, Howick
One person was killed and another sustained critical injuries when they were hit by a train in Howick West near the N3 this morning.
ER24 paramedics and other services attended to the incident.
Sadly there was nothing that could be done for one man who was found lying near the railway line. He was declared dead.
The second patient, also a male, sustained critical injuries.
He was treated and transported to hospital for further medical care.
The exact cause of the incident is unknown.
Authorities were own scene.
