Wanted Conman Arrested in Phoenix

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa have tracked down and arrested 50 Year Old Ravi Naidoo who was wanted on 22 criminal cases in Kwazulu Natal.  Naidoo who is also known as Kevin was arrested after Reaction Officers kept observation since last Friday over his residence in Challen Place, Unit 13 Phoenix.

A female nurse who is based at the Maternity Ward at Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Hospital & residing at the same address provided Officers with misleading information for several days regarding the whereabouts of Naidoo. The suspect was arrested after he left the residence this morning at approx 09:31 in a silver VW Golf. Reaction Officers who were positioned around the vicinity then boxed in his vehicle & arrested him without incident. He was wanted for Robbery & Theft after he conned women out of cash in two separate incidents in Tongaat last week. The recovered car was used as his getaway vehicle.

During an interview with Reaction Officers, Naidoo confirmed that he was arrested several times for similar cases & that he used the monies to buy cocaine. The father of two sons informed Officers that he started his criminal career at the age of 12 in Newlands West. He continued to con woman after he was fired from his job at a car dealership in Durban when his job required him to drop off drivers who brought in their car for service. Naidoo is wanted for several cases which included Pointing of Firearm, Theft of Motor Vehicle from Suncoast Casino, Imtimadation & Robbery. He is currently detained at SAPS Tongaat.
