Man found beaten-and-killed approximately 25km outside of Amanzimtoti.
A man, believed to be in his 30s, was found dead a this afternoon on the R603, approximately 25km outside of Amanzimtoti.
ER24 paramedics were returning to their Branch when they were flagged down by by local authorities.
Upon closer inspection, paramedics found the body of a male lying motionless in the back seat of a light motor vehicle.
Paramedics assessed the patient and found that he had sustained numerous injuries and showed no signs of life.
Unfortunately, the man had already succumbed to his injuries. Nothing more could be done for the man and he was declared dead on the scene.
It is understood that the man had been beaten by an unknown number of people. A passerby loaded the man into the vehicle and drove towards the local authorities.
The local authorities will be conducting an investigation into this matter.
