Vehicle intercepted and housebreaking items and firearm confiscated in Chatsworth

KwaZulu-Natal: On Tuesday, 15 November 2016, members from Chatsworth SAPS responded to a housebreaking in progress at Magnolia Street, Shallcross in Chatsworth. On arrival, police noticed a Red Polo parked at the gates. The driver noticed the police vehicle approaching and sped off. Police immediately circulated this information and members from Umlazi South SAPS intercepted the vehicle. One suspect (26) was arrested for attempted housebreaking, possession of housebreaking implements and possession of an unlicensed firearm. The accused will appear at the Chatsworth Magistrates Court in due course.
