Shortly after 6 am this morning Netcare 911 responded to an accident on Jan Smuts Ave and Republic Road.
On arrival, they attended a 38-year-old male driver who sustained minor injuries. Reports from the scene indicate that it was a hit and run and that the taxi sped off after the accident.
Metro was on scene to investigate.
