Enforcement actions yield results in the fight against vehicle-related crimes.

Vehicle recoveries by the Gauteng Traffic Police and Gauteng Traffic Wardens STT (Eastern Corridor), in collaboration with Rentrak, continue to yield results in the fight against vehicle-related crimes.

During various operations across Ekurhuleni, officers recovered several stolen and hijacked vehicles:

• A Honda Civic spotted near Vuka Dakie Complex, found to be linked to a theft case.
• A Toyota Tazz, stolen in Germiston, recovered in Vosloorus.
• A Hyundai, hijacked in Springs, recovered in Vlaakfontein with the victim still held hostage.
• A Toyota Yaris, hijacked in Boksburg, recovered in Thokoza.
• A Toyota, stolen in Hillbrow, recovered in Katlehong — one suspect arrested.
• A Kia Rio, hijacked in Springs, recovered in Langaville.
• A Toyota Hilux, hijacked in Tembisa, recovered in Ivory Park Extension 8.
• A Renault Kiger, hijacked at Motsu Tembisa, later used in another hijacking of a Toyota Hilux. The Kiger was fitted with false registration plates and recovered in Mayibuye Section, Tembisa.
• A BMW X5, hijacked in Rosettenville with two kidnapped victims. Officers spotted the vehicle in Lambton, a high-speed chase ensued, and the vehicle was eventually recovered at Ramaphosa Informal Settlement. Both victims were rescued unharmed.
