A joint operation was conducted by the National Counterfeit Unit, Gauteng Counterfeit Unit, Brand Protectors, Gauteng Crime Prevention Wardens, and BCI Security at the Fourways Mall in Johannesburg District today, 22 August 2025.
The operation resulted in the detention of 2 947 counterfeit cellphone accessories, valued at approximately R2 797 000.
The operation, which involved visiting six shops, demonstrates the commitment of law enforcement agencies to combating the sale of counterfeit goods and protecting consumers and businesses.
