Gauteng Acting Provincial Commissioner, Maj Gen Fred Kekana together with Tshwane District Commissioner, Maj Gen Thine and TMPD Deputy Chief Nhlapho are on the ground, leading from the front at a roadblock in Silverton where integrated law enforcement agencies are ensuring that road users and the entire community are and feel safe.
The team has issued 268 traffic fines to the value of approximately R 160 000. More than 90 suspects were arrested for various crimes, of which 84 are undocumented persons. Four unlicensed liquor outlets were closed during compliance inspections.
