One killed and 2 critical after head-on crash in Centurion
Just after 9pm last night EMER-G-MED paramedics as well as other services responded to reports of a serious collision on the R55 by Waterberg, in Centurion.
On arrival paramedics found that two cars had collided head-on, tearing the cars into pieces and leaving them severely mangled.
On assessment paramedics found that one person was killed in the collision, and another two people had been critically injured.
While stabalising the critical patients by providing Advanced Life Support as well as placing them on a ventilator the Netcare911 aeromedical helicopter was requested to airlift the patients to a specialist trauma facility for further management.
The events leading up to the collision are unclear, and are under investigation by local authorities.
