Durban CBD crash leaves eight injured – one dead
On Wednesday evening at around 20h00 Netcare 911 paramedics responded to a collision at the intersection of Commercial and Field Streets in Durban. Reports from the scene indicate that two cars collided with a side impact crash, one then veered off and collided with two pedestrians. Exact detail to the cause of the crash and preceding events is still speculative and will form part of the police investigation.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and found that a female pedestrian tragically died at the scene while the male pedestrian sustained serious injuries. Seven occupants from the two vehicle sustained injuries ranging from serious to minor. The injured were treated at the scene before they were transported to various hospitals for the care that they required.
