Budweiser brings its super smooth flavor to the 2018 South Coast Bike Fest

March 29, 2018 • News

The most valued beer brand worldwide – Budweiser – will be adding its refreshingly smooth taste to the 2018 South Coast Bike Fest™, revving up Margate from 27 to 30 April. The announcement that this iconic beverage will be sponsoring the event’s main entertainment venue, the Budweiser Main Beach Stage, was enthusiastically welcomed by event organisers who feel this global brand is just the right fit for the energy-fuelled event.

“We are incredibly excited to have Budweiser featuring so prominently at this year’s South Coast Bike Fest™,” said event organiser, Vicky Wentzel. “This vibrant festival is about bringing people together to celebrate shared passions and this sense of camaraderie speaks directly to the Budweiser brand. We look forward to this successful partnership and another fantastic South Coast Bike Fest™ which has now been infused with the elegant Budweiser flavour.”

Introduced to the South African market in 2017, Budweiser is already gaining a lot of traction across the nation because of its appealing flavour and quality taste. Referred to as the ‘King of Beer’, the production of Budweiser ‘The Hard Way’ is the world’s most expensive brewery process, brewing the mixture twice as long as regular lager and aging it over beach wood chips resulting in a super smooth finish. Infusing 142 years of experience in beer brewing, Budweiser is now being produced locally, for the first time on the African continent, at the Rosslyn Brewery.

True to its nature, Budweiser has been given rocking centre stage at this year’s South Coast Bike Fest™ through its sponsorship of the Budweiser Main Beach Stage. Festival-goers can look forward to an incredible line-up of the country’s top musical acts to take to the stage throughout the four-day festival. Some acts to look out for include Goodluck, The Kiffness, Chunda Munki, MC Drumkit, Matthew Mole, Milano Singh, Karen Zoid, Springbok Nude Girls and Francois van Coke, among many others.

The refreshing Budweiser flavour will also flow through the electric Party on the Move on Saturday, 28 April where host venues, Senzi on Faya and Skybar at Desroche Hotel, will feature an incredible line-up of musical royalty. Audiences can look forward to non-stop dance music by the Big Dawg – DJ Fresh – the legendary kwaito star, Babes Wodumo, as well as Michael Zuma, DJ Bruce, DJ LeSoul, Felix Hlope and FlyMotion. In addition to the talent, festival-goers will get the chance to win a number of Budweiser giveaways at the Party on the Move and other venues throughout the event precinct.

In addition to this rocking musical line-up, the South Coast Bike Fest™ has an action-packed programme set to rev the crowd. Some highlights include:

8 festival-themed bars
Corporate dealership deck
22 Restaurants, pubs and clubs
Rock Stage
Graffiti Chalk Artists
