KZN Transport employee recognized for conveying the importance of road safety to surrounding schools.
The KwaZulu Natal Department of Transport is proud to announce that one of its employees who has excelled in her duties, received Gold in the Best Operational Employee category in the National Batho Pele Excellence Awards.
Thembi Mgwili-Mthethwa who is stationed at Hluhluwe Cost Centre as a Principal Road Safety Officer, represented the Department during the awards ceremony at Birchwood Hotel in Johannesburg last night, where she won Gold in the category for her outstanding commitment to her work on conveying the importance of road safety to surrounding schools.
She was accompanied by her colleagues including Director Tholakele Dingiswayo, Batho Pele champion, Anthony “Induna” Ntshangase and her husband.
