Man Shot During Attempted Hijacking: Zwelisha – KZN
A man was shot during an attempted hijacking in Zwelisha – KZN this morning (Monday).
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out to the scene at approximately 03:12. On arrival, Reaction Officers established that one (1) person was shot in the leg.
The driver of a Toyota Hilux bakkie informed Officers that he arrived in the area to uplift a work colleague. Two (2) suspects approached the bakkie as his passenger bordered the vehicle. The passenger was shot after he attempted to flee on foot. The suspects thereafter fled empty handed. A spent 9mm cartridge was recovered.
The injured male was expedited to a medical facility.
