Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) deployed twelve (12) Reaction Officers on foot into the Verulam Central Business District in KZN this morning (Tuesday) in an attempt to reduce crime.
Theft of Motor Vehicles & Robberies have increased on market days in the vicinity of the Verulam Farmers Market & the elderly have been targeted by a gang of robbers armed with knives & firearms. Reaction Officers have also created visibility on other hot spot areas.
When available, Officers have been instructed to patrol the Verulam CBD – KZN randomly by vehicle & on foot.
