Three suspects arrested for dealing in drugs during two separate incidents of police action.

A successfully executed, intelligence-driven operation conducted by the Anti-Gang Unit (AGU) of Gqeberha, in collaboration with the Sarah Baartman District Crime Intelligence Unit, resulted in the arrest of three suspects for dealing in drugs during two separate incidents of police action.

On Wednesday, 6 August 2025, the #AntiGangUnit, which focuses on dismantling gangs, disrupting drug trafficking, and reducing illegal firearms, executed search warrants at two targeted addresses.

At the first premises in Thornhill, a 28-year-old male was arrested when mandrax tablets, khat, cocaine, and dagga were found. On the same premises, a 27-year-old female was also arrested with mandrax tablets, tik, khat, and dagga in her possession.
At the second premises in Humansdorp, a 20-year-old male was arrested when police found mandrax tablets, tik, and dagga in his possession.

Police confiscated a combined total of drugs with an estimated street value of about R20 000.00.

The suspects are due to appear before the Humansdorp Magistrate’s Court soon.
