The Mpumalanga Provincial Communication, in collaboration with Bushbuckridge SAPS and Bushbuckridge local Municipality, and various stakeholders, embarked on a road safety campaign on the R40 road at Ramalema, in Bushbuckridge on 24 October 2025.
Stakeholders:
– Municipal Transport Section
– Transport Inspectorate
– Provincial Traffic
– Municipal Traffic
– Disaster Management
– Home Affairs
– Crime Prevention Wardens
– National Taxi Associations (BTA and TATA)
Objectives:
– Ensure road safety during the festive season
– To conduct searches in order to recover unlicenced firearm, drugs and dangerous weapons.
– Monitor road compliance
– Assist tourists with directions and ensure their safety
– Enforce Immigration Act
