Grassy Park SAPS arrests suspect for possession of drugs
Vigilant sector commanders attached to Grassy Park SAPS, who followed up on information received, arrested a 39-year-old suspect for dealing in drugs on Thursday, 21 August 2025 at approximately 09:30.
The members acted on information received regarding drugs being sold at a house in Eland Avenue, Lotus River. Upon arrival at the premises, the members witnessed how the owner attempted to flee with a blue plastic bag in his possession. However, the members ordered him to stop, at which point he dropped the bag next to him. A search of the bag revealed 798 mandrax tablets inside.
The suspect will appear in the Wynberg Magistrates’ Court once charged.
