Man Hurled Down Flight Of Stairs During Altercation: Verulam CBD – KZN
A man was injured after he was hurled down a flight of stairs on George Sewpersad Street in the Verulam CBD – KZN this afternoon (Wednesday).
A Ward Councillor contacted Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) for assistance for the injured male. On arrival, Reaction Officers found the man on a landing at the base of a flight of stairs. He sustained a head injury. He also appeared intoxicated and was unable to provide details leading up to his injury.
Witnesses informed Officers that the Zimbabwean national was involved in a physical altercation with a group of males on the upper level of a building. One (1) of the men from the group hurled him down the flight of stairs during the incident. The group thereafter fled.
The injured male was expedited to a medical facility for examination & treatment.
