A 40-year-old suspect will appear in the Jacobsdal Magistrate’s Court soon on a charge of dealing in drugs. The incident occurred on Tuesday, 14 July 2026, at 19:45.
It is alleged that on the said date and time, Sergeant Mnumzana, Sergeant Mangweni, and Sergeant Adams received information about a person travelling to Jacobsdal with drugs.
The information was followed up and operationalised. The suspect was found in Hoop Street, Jacobsdal, carrying a green sports bag. Upon searching the bag, police found three large plastic bags containing dagga. The suspect was arrested, and a case of dealing in drugs was opened.
Investigations into the origin of the drugs are continuing.
