Yesterday at 15h10, Modimolle Traffic Officers stopped a motorist on the N1 near Settlers after the vehicle was recorded travelling at _191km/h_.
The driver was arrested and taken to Bela Bela Police Station to face charges.
The Limpopo Department of Transport and Community Safety reminds all motorists: speed limits are not suggestions. At 191km/h you cannot stop in time, you cannot swerve safely, and the outcome of a crash is often fatal.
We commend Modimolle Traffic for their swift action. Reckless drivers will be arrested and processed.
