Driver arrested after being clocked driving at 215 km/h on the N1 near Oorlogfontein, outside Mokopane.
A Mercedes-Benz driver was arrested on Friday afternoon after being clocked driving at 215 km/h on the N1 near Oorlogfontein, outside Mokopane.
Traffic officers said the motorist was recorded travelling at the extremely dangerous speed during a road safety operation conducted around 13:20. The driver was arrested on the scene and later detained at Mokopane Police Station.
Authorities have once again warned that reckless speeding endangers lives. Law enforcement teams are stepping up operations across Limpopo to ensure road safety.
Motorists are urged to obey speed limits and prioritise safety at all times.
