Cross-border operations conducted between South Africa and Namibia
The South African Police Service (SAPS) in the Northern Cape, in partnership with their counterparts in Namibia, conducted cross-border operations between the two countries from Thursday, 11 June 2026, to Sunday, 14 June 2026.
The operations were conducted along the border between South Africa and Namibia, with role-players from both countries focusing on activities within their respective jurisdictions.
During the operations, members confiscated drugs, conducted search operations during which numerous persons, vehicles and premises were searched, and carried out compliance inspections at licensed liquor outlets and other establishments.
The South African delegation issued fines and arrested several individuals for contraventions of the Immigration Act, Road Traffic Act and the Cross-Border Road Transport Act.
