Man hit by car, left critical in Olifantsfontein
A 58-year-old man was left critically injured this morning when he was hit by a light motor vehicle in a business complex in Olifantsfontein.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at approximately 06h30 and found the man lying in the middle of the road.
The man was quickly assessed and found to be in a critical condition, having sustained a serious head injury.
ER24 paramedics treated the man and provided him with advanced life support interventions. Once treated, the man was transported to a private hospital for urgent treatment.
It is understood that the man was hit by the vehicle when he attempted to run across the road.
Local authorities will be investigating this matter further.
