Illegal firearms and Jamming devices recovered in Limpopo

Operation Cease Fire yielded results in Limpopo with the arrests of 17 suspects and the recovery of 10 unlicensed firearms since Monday, 31 August 2015. The operation is intelligence driven and is aimed at the recovery of illegal firearms.

The arrests include five suspects in the Hoedspruit area on their way to poach rhino horns as the arrest of five suspects allegedly on their way to commit an armed robbery at a Supermarket in the Moletjie area. Fire arms and jamming devices were found in their possession.

At Thohoyandou two suspects were arrested and fire arms recovered. These suspects are linked to 14 cases of house robbery in the Thohoyandou area.
