Dagga worth R7m confiscated in truck entering from Swaziland

SAPS members of the national K9 Unit in Carolina received information at about 00:10 today about a truck carrying dagga.

The truck crossed from Swaziland through Oshoek Port of Entry and was traveling on the N17 road to Johannesburg.

Members followed the truck and managed to stop the truck between Carolina and Wonderfontein road.

When they searched it, they found 42 compressed dagga bags. Two men were arrested on the scene and charged for dealing in dagga.

The 512, 41 kg dagga is estimated to be worth R7 000 000-00.
