MEC Ismail Vadi to officially open rehabilitated P3/6 Road (N12)
Gauteng MEC for Roads and Transport MEC Dr Ismail Vadi will on Wednesday, 10 February 2016 officially open the rehabilitated P3/6 Road located between P186/1Road and the North West Province border on the N12 route to Potchefstroom.
The road provides a link between Gauteng and North West Province and serves as a major collector/distributor for the urban areas along the route and southwest of Johannesburg.
The R380 million project – which was completed four months ahead of the 24-months contract duration – is expected to shorten travel time and reduce maintenance costs for the Department.
The project created a total of 234 full-time and 13 part-time job opportunities for Merafong, Westonaria and Johannesburg residents.
