Taxi and car collide injuring 15 in Freedom Square in Bloemfontein.
15 people were injured this morning after a taxi and light motor vehicle collided at the Rudolf Greyling and Belcher Road intersection in Freedom Square in Bloemfontein.
ER24 paramedics, along with Provincial Ambulance Services, arrived on the scene and found the taxi and light motor vehicle up against a traffic light. Most of the occupants from the taxi were found walking around on the scene.
Upon assessment, paramedics found that 15 people had sustained injuries ranging from minor to serious.
Paramedics treated the patients and provided the seriously injured with advanced life support interventions.
Once treated, the patients were transported to various provincial hospitals for urgent treatment.
The exact cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
