Minister Madikizela to open multi-million rand traffic circle in Saldanha Bay

Tomorrow, Thursday 31 October 2019, Western Cape Minister of Transport and Public Works, Bonginkosi Madikizela will officially open the newly constructed traffic circle in Saldanha Bay.

Construction of the R187 million project commenced in January 2017. Its objective was to link Main Road 559 with Main Road 238 by offering an improved direct link between Langebaan and Saldanha CBD. This development will alleviate heavy traffic flow from the residential connector road.

This project contributes to the long-term roadmaster network planning for Saldanha Bay and is supported by the National Government’s infrastructure development for Industrial Development Zones.

Minister Madikizela will be joined by Premier Alan Winde, Cabinet Ministers and Saldanha Bay Municipal Mayor, Marius Koen during the official opening of the road.
