ATNS Confirms Polokwane International Airport’s Instrument Flight Procedure Operational

Air Traffic and Navigation Services (ATNS) SOC Ltd is pleased to announce that the Instrument Flight Procedure (IFP) for Runway 05 at Polokwane International Airport is now valid and fully operational.

This milestone follows ATNS’s earlier announcement that the procedure would take effect on 25 December 2025, marking a significant step towards enhancing the safety and efficiency of South Africa’s airspace.

Aligned with ATNS’s Peak Season Plan, all air traffic services operations across the national airspace system are running seamlessly, with no reported disruptions.

This reflects ATNS’s commitment to safe, reliable, and efficient air traffic management during one of the busiest travel periods of the year.
