Law enforcement operation conducted at Perdekop
The Transport’s Inspectorate officials in Gert Sibande District, conducted a law enforcement operation at Perdekop early in the morning. The operation is part of the long planned festive season campaign. The Inspectors aimed at improving compliance and enhancing road safety across the province.
The operation focused on unroadworthy vehicles, overloading, public transport permits, and driver fitness. Several fines were issued, and non-compliant vehicles were discontinued to ensure the safety of passengers and other road users. The Department reaffirms its commitment to maintaining safe, reliable, and orderly transport operations throughout Mpumalanga.
