A 27-year-old male suspect arrested by Provincial Organised Crime Investigation Narcotics Unit for dealing in drugs in Mopani District
POLOKWANE – On Thursday, 08 January 2026 at about 09:00, members of Provincial Organised Crime Investigations Narcotics Team together with members of Provincial Detectives, conducted an intelligence driven operation at Myakayaka village in Maake policing area under Mopani District.
Police received information regarding a male suspect who was allegedly dealing in drugs in the area. They operationalised on the information to trace the suspect who was subsequently located while at his residence.
Upon arrival, an intensive search was conducted at the premises and police discovered 191 grams of Crystal Methamphetamine and 91 grams of Heroin drugs with an estimated street value of R2500-00.
The drugs were allegedly found concealed under the bed in one of the bedrooms and a 27-year-old male suspect was immediately nabbed and charged with dealing in drugs.
The suspect is expected to appear before Naphuno Magistrate court soon facing a charge of dealing in drugs.
Police investigations are continuing.
