Police detain suspects for possession of presumed stolen property
An integrated operation between police units has led to the arrest of four suspects for the possession of presumed stolen property and possession of imitation firearms on Friday, 23 May 2025.
The members conducted an intelligence driven operation after information was gathered by Crime Intelligence about suspects who are committing carjacking’s and robberies in the Lingelethu West policing precinct. Armed with information the members searched a premises in Nanana Street, I-Section, Khayelitsha, and seized two imitation firearms and eight cellular telephones of which the suspects could not give account of. The suspects, three males aged 18, 20, 21 and a 27 year old female were arrested.
They will appear in the Khayelitsha Magistrates’ court on Monday, on the mentioned charges.
