Firearms and drugs confiscated at a premises in Simphiwe Crescent, B Section Khayelitsha
Efforts to remove firearms from our communities which are used to commit serious and violent crime yielded success when police members arrested three suspects for the possession of prohibited firearms, ammunition and drugs on Thursday afternoon.
Members of the Khayelitsha Sub-District Crime Combatting Unit received information from Crime Intelligence about firearms at a premises in Simphiwe Crescent, B Section Khayelitsha, and followed up on the information. They proceeded to the identified premises and searched it, where the members found two 9mm pistols without serial numbers with eight rounds of ammunition on the carport roof and three mandrax tablets and 63 dagga cigarettes and an undisclosed amount of cash in the house.
