Busy week for the Heidelberg Volunteer Medics and First Responders
Volunteer Incident Summary | 7 – 17 April 2026 🚨
Over the past week, our volunteers have remained committed to serving the community alongside multiple emergency services.
🔹 Total Callouts: 11
🔹 Patients Transported: 6
🔹 Escorted to Hospital: 1
🔹 No Serious Injuries: 1
🔹 Fatalities: 4
Key Incidents:
• Multiple cases involving elderly patients with chest pain, respiratory distress, and collapse
• Serious motor vehicle accidents on the R42 and R23, including one entrapment and multiple injuries
• A tragic incident involving an infant fatality on the R23
• A child treated for glass lacerations after an accident at home
• Ongoing support provided alongside GPG, Netcare, SAPS, Lesedi Fire, and Traffic Services
