A delivery vehicle recovered that was hijacked in the Makhaza area.
On Tuesday afternoon, 21 April 2026 at approximately 12:45, members of the Makhaza Anti-Hijacking Team were alerted of a delivery vehicle that was #hijacked in the Makhaza area.
The members quickly mobilised and recovered the vehicle at Nxaruni Street, J-Section, Khayelitsha with the driver and passenger. The victims informed them that the suspects loaded all the parcels over into a vehicle and left the location.
Following up on information the members pounced on a premises in Mcewule Street J-Section, Khayelitsha where all the stolen property with an estimated value of R250 000-00 was recovered.
The members arrested a 22-year-old female who was found in possession of the property on a Lingelethu West case.
The suspect is expected to appear at the Khayelitsha Magistrate court once charged for the possession of stolen property.
