Queen Nandi accident leaves 15 injured

Fifteen people were injured, four critically so, after a bakkie and a taxi collided on the Queen Nandi Drive Bridge this morning at around 07h30. Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain a subject for police investigation and comment.
Netcare 911 paramedics and their rescue unit arrived at the scene and found some of the injured still trapped in the wreckages, the roadway was severely obstructed with the accident debris. After triaging the injured they found that four people were in a critical condition while eleven sustained injuries ranging from serious to minor.
After the injured were extricated from the wreckages and stabelised on scene, paramedics transported them to various hospitals in the area for the care that they required.
