Five injured in collision on Modderfontein Road
One person sustained critical injuries and four sustained minor to moderate injuries in a collision between two vehicles on Modderfontein Road, close to Zuurfontein Street in Kempton Park, earlier this morning.
When ER24 paramedics and other services arrived on scene they found that a man was trapped in one of the vehicles.
Fire and Rescue Services extricated the man from the vehicle with the jaws of life. Paramedics assessed him and found that he sustained critical injuries. He was treated and transported to hospital for further medical care. All other patients, who got out of the vehicles and were found lying on an embankment, were assessed. They were treated for minor to moderate injuries and transported to hospital for further medical care.
The exact cause of the collision is unknown however authorities were on scene for further investigations.
