N1 Midrand rollover crash leaves multiple people injured
Multiple people were injured during an accident on Olifantsfontein Road near the N1 south bound in Midrand this evening.
Netcare 911 paramedics and other services arrived at the scene and found that a minibus had overturned. Upon assessment of the all the occupants, paramedics found that multiple people had sustained various injuries.
The Netcare1 helicopter was activated to airlift a ten-month-old baby who was found to be in a critical condition and the baby’s mother, who sustained serious injuries as well, to hospital for the urgent medical care that they required.
The remaining injured patients were treated at the scene and transported to hospital for further medical care.
Exact detail surrounding the cause of the rollover accident and preceding events are unclear and will remain the subject of a police investigation.
