Alberton shooting leaves one dead two injured
On Wednesday morning Netcare 911 paramedics received a call for a shooting incident at the Electron Butchery in Klipriviersberg Road, Alberton. Exact detail to the cause of the shooting and preceding events is still speculative and will remain a subject for police investigation and comment.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found that a security guard had sustained life-threatening injuries while two other shoppers had minor injuries. Paramedics placed the critically wounded man on a ventilator and worked fervently for an extensive period to try and resuscitate the patient. Tragically, despite all their efforts the man was declared dead at the scene.
Medics treated the other patients at the scene before they transported them to a local hospital for the care that they required.
