A taxi driver is in a critical condition after he sustained several gunshot wounds this evening while driving along the R82 in Kiblerpark.

At approximately 8pm paramedics responded to the scene where they found four patients involved in a shooting incident. Three people, including a six-month old baby, sustained minor injuries. It is understood they were occupants in the taxi during the shooting incident. The driver of the taxi was found with multiple gunshot wounds to his upper and lower body.

Paramedics stabilised the driver on the scene before rushing him to a nearby hospital for further treatment. The three people that sustained minor injuries were transported by another service to a nearby hospital.
