Three injured in early morning truck crash

Three people have been left with serious injuries after two trucks collided in a T Bone format just after 11pm on Wednesday night at the intersection of the N2 and M7.

Rescue Care Paramedics arrived on the scene to find that two of the three injured were entrapped in the wreckages. Durban Fire Department were immediately called to assist with rescue tools. Advanced Life Support Paramedics worked to stabilise the three seriously injured patients on scene and cut them free which took nearly two hours to do. Once all of the injured had been freed and stabilized on the scene they were transported to various Durban Hospitals for the further care that they required.

At this stage it is unclear what caused the collision however the necessary authorities were on scene and will be investigating further.
