Two pedestrians injured in separate collisions in JHB

In the first incident, a fourteen-year old school girl was knocked over by a vehicle on Van Beek Street and corner Albertina Sisulu Road in the Johannesburg CBD.

Reports from the scene indicate that the girl was crossing the road when she was struck by the vehicle.

Netcare911 paramedics treated the girl for minor injuries on scene before transporting her to a nearby hospital for further medical care.

This accident happened at about 15h30.

In the second incident, a twenty-seven-year old man sustained minor injuries after he was struck by a vehicle on Lothbury Road and corner Kingsway Avenue in Auckland Park.

The exact detail to the cause of the accident will remain a subject for police investigation and comment.

Netcare911 paramedics managed to stabilise the man on scene before transporting him to a nearby hospital for further medical care.

This accident happened this afternoon at about 16:00.
