In order to play a significant role in the global aviation training environment, ATNS ATA Principal Tendani Ndou says it is vital that ATA maintains its high international reputation. “We compete on equal terms with the best in the world, and that not only means that we are helping to make African skies safer in reality, we are also building the confidence of those airlines and travellers from outside Africa who want to use our airspace,” concludes Ndou

ANS ATA alumni and current Area Controller based at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport in Zambia, John Langa Tembo (image attached), studied Approach Radar and On Job Training Instructors Course in 2015. He says “The facilities and training equipment are of very high quality and state-of-the-art. It was impressive to notice that all lecture rooms have been fitted with projectors. This enhanced the quality of teaching and the learning experience, which was of great benefit to the students”.

The ICAO Aviation Training and Train-air Plus Global Symposium and Conference on International Air Transport Cooperation takes place every two years. Its 2016 theme is “Efforts to Achieve the Goal – No Country Left Behind.”
