Man sustains fatal injuries after crashing vehicle into tree
A man sadly died this evening after crashing his vehicle into a tree on Albert Wessels Drive in Newcastle.
ER24 paramedics attended to the incident.
The bakkie was found entangled in the tree.
The man believed to be in his 40’s was trapped in the vehicle. Fire and Rescue used the jaws of life to gain access to the man. Upon assessment by paramedics it was found that he sustained fatal injuries.
He was declared dead. The exact cause of the incident is unknown.
Authorities were on scene for further investigations.
