Man in critical condition after being shot in Commissioner Street, Johannesburg CBD
A man was left in a critical condition after being shot in Commissioner Street, Johannesburg CBD, in the early hours of this morning.
ER24 paramedics arrived on scene and found that a vehicle had come to a standstill in front of a building, close to Polly Street.
The driver of the vehicle was found slumped over the passenger seat.
Upon assessment of the patient it was found that he had been shot in his shoulder and was in a critical condition. He could also not move his legs. He was treated and transported to hospital for further medical care. The exact cause of the incident is unknown and subject to investigation however, while paramedics were on scene they found what appeared to be the car radio that had been removed from the vehicle. They were also informed that other items in the vehicle, including the man’s belongings, were taken.
Authorities were on scene for further investigations.
