The request by “All Tshwane Vat Alles Employees” received a thorough consideration which was followed by an approval – granted by TMPD.

Marchers are to move from Burgers Park, which is their gathering point, at 8h00 and proceed to the Tshwane House which is at corner of Lilian Ngoyi Street and Madiba Street.

The route that will be used is as follows:

From Burgers Park, they will get into Lilian Ngoyi Street and proceed straight passing the following intersections:

• Visagie Street

• Pretorius Street

They will then turn right to Madiba Street and proceed to the Tshwane House to handover their Memorandum.

Motorists are urged to avoid the above mentioned streets and use alternative routes.

Tshwane Metro Police officers will be deployed to monitor the “All Tshwane Vat Alles Employees” march and all affected streets. Any unlawful activity will not be tolerated and will be dealt with accordingly.

Meanwhile, the TMPD has noted information doing the rounds about another protest action by African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL) scheduled for Friday 26 January 2018. This alleged protest is said to be coming from various points within the jurisdiction of the City of Tshwane proceeding to the CBD of Pretoria.
