Truck and SUV collide approximately 80km outside of Tzaneen in Limpopo leaving one dead, three injured.
One person was killed and three others injured following a collision between a truck and SUV on the R40, approximately 80km outside of Tzaneen in Limpopo.
ER24 paramedics, along with another service, arrived on the scene to find the two vehicles on the opposite side of the road.
Paramedics assessed the patients and found that one patient, a woman, lying a few metres away from the SUV. Unfortunately, the woman had already succumbed to her multiple injuries. Nothing could be done for her and she was declared dead.
Three other patients were assessed on the scene. One was found to have sustained serious injuries while two others had sustained minor to moderate injuries.
The patients were treated for their injuries before they were transported to nearby hospitals for urgent treatment.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
