Illegal mining sites raided in the Boksburg Area
The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) Eastern Region Task Team Unit Officers, in conjunction with other law enforcement, nabbed eight undocumented suspects and items related to illegal mining were recovered in the Boksburg area.
Officers conducted an operation, where they raided an illegal mining site and discovered equipment contributing to illegal mining, such as pendukas.
Further investigations, the suspects could not produce any identification documents.
The group was arrested and detained at the Boksburg police station.
