Multiple roadblocks conducted across Gauteng as part of Safer Festive Season Operations
The Deputy National Commissioner, Policing, Lt Gen Tebello Mosikili, and Gauteng Provincial Commissioner, Lt Gen Tommy Mthobeni, joined Deputy Provincial Commissioner: Policing, Maj Gen Fred Kekana, with an entourage, as they visited roadblocks and interacted with motorists throughout the five districts in the province on Monday, 15 December 2025.
The team went to N1 Grasmere Toll Plaza, and they are now at N12 road in Westonaria, where more than 37 people have been arrested for various crimes, such as contravening the Immigration Act, possession of drugs, possession of suspected stolen property, tampering with essential infrastructure, among others.
All these roadblocks are part of Safer Festive Season Operations, which aims to ensure more boots on the ground to maximise police visibility and further stamp the authority of the State.
